Elke: I'm great, thank your for asking.
Leilani: Introduce yourself.
Elke: For all that don’t know me, hope its not that many, lol, my name is Elke pronounced L-key aka The Stallion, the one and only STALLION.
Leilani: Measurements
Elke: Currently 38/28/48
Leilani: How long have you been modeling? How did you get started?
Elke: I've been full time modeling since 2005, I started with my first job for the Outkast Video “I Like The Way You Move” and from then on my career just took off.Modeling is constantly going through many changes, first there were the "Skinny" models and now the industry seems to be embracing the "Video Vixens"!
Leilani: What do you think models these days need to bring to the table to have longevity in the business?
Elke: To me its all about uniqueness, confidence and persistency and that’s about it.
Leilani: What has separated you from most models?
Elke: Exactly what I stated above, I am unique in my looks, my way of working and being my own manager, I am in charge of my career 100%. I've been in this game for 5 years now and going stronger then ever, so my persistency is crazy.
Leilani: Is beauty and a banging body enough to make it the entertainment business? Why?
Elke: No, of course not. There is tons and tons of beautiful girls out there, doesn’t make them models. Modeling is way more then looks, its professionalism, persistency, hard work and business knowledge. Also, not every beautiful woman knows how to pose or for that matter is photogenic, so there is many aspects that must be fulfill to sustain in this game.
Leilani: When a person
meets you in person, whats the first thing they notice?
Elke: Whats the one thing they won't forget?The first thing they notice is my height and body type, I am really a STALLION, I am 5’7 with crazy thick muscular legs. So it can be overwhelming meeting me. The one thing nobody ever forgets is how down to earth and real I am. You can ask anybody that has met me in the biz, I am the girl-next-door, not stuck up at all.
Leilani: Are you currently working on any projects?
Elke: I been traveling like crazy this year, from Dallas to Miami, from NY to Oakland, I been very busy hosting events, love doing that. And I been focused on my new project, my baby www.StallionModels.com I started managing new and fresh faces. Lets see where it goes….
Leilani: Tell us about your favorite photo shoot and why?
Elke: Actually my favorite job that I have done was the most recent video shoot for the most successful underground rapper out the Bay area, Andre Nickatina. And the reason why, the booking went super smooth, fast and with absolutely no issues. My kind of job. I had a great time and can only highly speak of their work ethic. As far as photo shoots, my trip to ATL and shooting with Shaun Hines and Marica Scott Photo was amazing. Both photographers super talented and very professional.
Leilani: Tell us something most folk don't know about you
Elke: Every number, such as the volume on the TV or radio needs to be an even number. LOL, I cant have the volume be at 31 or 33, it needs to be a 32. Weirded?.....yeah, a little. Oh and I am a super control freak, I hate letting other people take charge, that’s why I manage myself, well, not in the bed room though. There I encourage the man to take all charge. LOL
Leilani: Is there anything else you are involved in other than modeling? If so what?
Elke: I am very involved in being a mommy now, I have an 18 months old and she keeps me on my toes. Other then that I enjoy the modeling and starting to be a great manager to my Stallion Models.
Leilani: This is a very competitive business, when dating, what do you look for in a man if he was to take you out or date you?
Elke: I am looking for confidence and honesty. I am looking for a man to ask me out on a date and be a little bit old fashion. I am a woman and I like to be impressed and treated nice. Doesn’t has to be expensive or anything, just something that the man puts some thought into that makes me feel like he really tried to impress me.
Leilani: Whats next for you?
Elke: I am unstoppable, whatever comes my way, magazines, hosting, appearances, shoots, and of course being a household name not only as model but also as model management with www.StallionModels.com I have some great talent and think I can be as great behind the scene as I am as model.
Leilani: Is there anyone you would like to work with? Who and why?
Elke: I would like to work with anybody that has a budget, lol, I don’t work for free, those grinding times are over. I live this modeling game and love doing it, but if I wouldn’t get paid I couldn’t do it. Besides that, there is a few magazines I have not been featured in, but I might not be what they are looking for and it doesnt hurt my career, so it doesn’t matter. I do want to shoot a video with Tyrese or Lil’ Wayne, just because I need to shoot a love scene with them, they are both so hot in their own ways. LOL
Leilani: Video Shoot casting calls, what really goes down on these casting calls? Are the models treated with respect or pieces of meat?
Elke: I have seen it all….nothing surprises me, but a lot of the times it’s the girls fault because they let themselves be treated like pieces of meat. I am a believer in always being in control of my own success and my own actions. I have had a couple of such experiences with some well known celebs and I confronted them. So just be in control and make sure you are ok with the consequences.
